With the rising cost of ingredients, then with the recession, I did not raise my prices in 5 years time. I must do this now to allow for the adjustments in material costs in the past 5 years and most recently in the past 6 months. To offset these costs to you, I now offer more items which are included in the initial cost per slice than before.
Harriet's Creations Standard Cake Flavors include:
$4.00 (effective with above date) a slice - this pricing includes a filling and allows for Standard flavored exterior buttercream icing with minimal buttercream decorations to include some but not all of these items: minimal scrollwork, dots, writing and stripes, simple cutout fondant flowers, buttercream icing rose sprays, sparkles, stars on wires, hearts on wires, hand cut out numerals for cake toppers, bows, royal icing materials.
Choose 5 of these items for inclusion at this price. Some plastic items, if requested, not to include cake kits.

If you don't see your flavor, please ask about it.
I do not use real butter for icing in the summer months but will use it between January and April, and again in November thru January. A difference in price exists between the standard buttercream and the 50/50 split icing. You must ask for the real butter icing when ordering. This is used at your own risk due to weather changes. This adds .50 per slice.
My standard buttercream icing has been on all my cakes when they won Blue Ribbons at the Mid South Fair in the Professional Division of the Culinary Arts Category. This fair is held in the September heat and holds up very well indoors. The fair is now held in DeSoto county. This icing is made with a vegetable shortening which is trans-fat free.
Adding fresh fruit to a recipe adds an additional .50 per slice.
